The predecessor to Honda Hornet 2.0 – The Honda Hornet 160R, launched in December 2015, was one of the first bike to capture customer’s imagination in the affordable naked bike segment. Hornet 160R, the FZ and the Gixxer were the top-selling entry level bike in this segment and Hornet was the youth’s favorite.
Hornet 160R was a really comfortable bike. Good riding posture, comfortable seats. Ample amount of power in the 4,000 to 6,000 rpm range. At any speed between 60-90 Km/h, and you feel there is more. You can zoom in an out of traffic like a charm.
Above 90 is where vibrations took over, although not as bad as some of the other bikes. You could push it upto 110-115 Km/h, beyond that it refused to go.
Earlier versions were good looking, then Honda quite lost the plot.
With the launch of Honda xBlade in 2018, Hornet sales took a dip. It was already decreasing in favor of the Gixxers and FZs. Bad styling choices also didn’t help its cause.
It is fair that Honda decided to revamp it with the Honda Hornet 2.0.
Welcome to BikersBlog! Today we give you the details of the all new Honda Hornet 2.0. successor to youth’s favorite Honda Hornet 160R.
