A Yamaha YZF R1 rider who goes by the Instagram handle @bluebeast46, uploaded a video on his IGTV, that shows him hitting the top speed achievable on that bike that too in Bengaluru traffic. He captioned the video as “Heating her up”
YZF R1’s top speed is electronically limited to 299 Km/h. The biker can be seen hitting 290+ twice on a single run and hitting 299 Km/h the second time around.
Bengaluru police traced him after the video went viral and he has been nabbed. Police has also seized his bike, which costs around 25 lakhs on road. However, police didn’t reveal what charges will be put against him and how much will he be fined.

The bike is powered by a 998cc, four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated engine that generates a whopping 197 Bhp at 13,500 rpm and peak torque of 112.4 Nm at 11,500 rpm. It has a speed limiter, set to 299 Km/h as the top speed.
It also gets a host of features including Quick Shifter, updated wheelie control system, Lift Control System, slide control system, launch control system, unified braking system and baking-sensitive traction control system.
